Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The airconditioner switch has melted 2 times since i have owner this jeep. dealer says nothing is wrong. no add on equipment of any kind is present other than a cell phone charger in the cigar lighter receptacle. there had been no fire yet...but the wires are getting hard and brittle. the first switch just showed some melting of the plastic on the switch housing. the second switch had the metal lug that the high-speed fan wire connets to completely loose from the switch and hanging in the wire connector. i have been to 2 dealers and both said nothing was wrong...i must have just gotten a "bad" switch. but they still charge me about 80 dollars for a new switch panel each time. *ak |
