| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a '97 & '99 nissan sentra gxe & both have suffered the same ac problem - the auxiliary fan ( air con cooling fan) stopped working for both when they had relatively low miles on them - 30000 - 45000 miles for the '97 & 32000 miles for the '99. on the '97 because we never got to know from regular servicing that the fan wasn't working, the ac compressor stopped working & we were left with changing the whole air con system for over $900. on the '99 the fan has just been diagnosed - the air con compressor still seems fine. these problems were diagnosed by the dealer & we were told that "like the '97, the '99 will need a new ac compressor if we don't quickly replace the fan." *jb |
