Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I bought a britax marathon seat. after installing the seat (in the rear-facing position with the lap and shoulder belt) per the instructions, i gave the seat a good jolt to make sure it was secure. the clip that holds the lap and shoulder belt in place came undone. completely unacceptable and unsafe. after some investigation, i realized that both of the user guides that came with my seat say something completely different than the user guide on britax's website. from my manualfrom my manuals: "note: always use lock-off closest to the vehicle buckle." from the on-line manual: "position both sections of seat belt through the rear facing lock-off farthest from the vehicle buckle..." which one do you believe. i truly feel that the safety of many children may be compromised if they receive the wrong instructions. if the latch comes undone, the shoulder belt can loosen and the seat is no longer secure. from the on-line manual: "position both sections of seat belt through the rear facing lock-off farthest from the vehicle buckle..."*ak
