Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Motorcycle lost power. i discontiued riding and took it to the dealer. dealer tore down engine and said that a rod bearing in the far right cylinder had gone bad doing damage to the one cylinder. the shop estimated repairs at over $2000. my bike had just broke 7000 miles and was bought brand new in may of 01. the dealership said they could do nothing to help me and there was no warranty. i called honda @ 310-532-9811 i spoke with danny there who stated that this could be taken car of on a case by case issue threw there dealer assistance program. i complained that this was not "normal wear & tear" and that it was a mechanical failure. honda said i needed to authorize further teardown of the engine to determine the exact cause and that i may be responsible for these charges. i authorized this and i'am still waiting to hear from my dealer. they have had the engine since 6/3/2003.*ak
