| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I removed my carseat cover to wash it and discovered that the straps that secure my child had both frayed halfway through at a point where they were hidden under the cover. had i not removed the cover and discovered this failure of the straps, they eventually could have torn all the way through and no longer protected my child. this carseat is a century smart moves 4710cft, manufacture date 19980306c, expiration date 12/04. century is now owned by graco. i do not recall the exact date of purchase but have used nov. 1, 1998 as i believe it was in the fall of 1998 and the form requires an exact date. similarly, i cannot say that the straps failed on a particular date as it appears to have happened over time. i used august 1, 2003 as the incident date as that is approximately when we discovered the failure. *ak |
