| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 1999 chevrolet 1500 silverado pick-up. there is a serious problem with the abs system at slow speeds. (below 20 mph) the braking system automatically goes into abs mode when stopping at a slow speed and no amount of pedal pressure will stop it. gm dealers acknowledge the problem, but want to replace the system at a huge cost to the consumer. it sure seems like a design flaw to me, as well as a safety issue. this p/u has 74,000 miles on it, and should not be having problems with it's brakes. thanks. *ak |
