Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The rear right wheel fell off while driving at an undetermined speed. this was caused by the lug separating from the nut because it was not long enough at time of manufacturing.*ak an insurance adjuster observed the lug nuts on the vehicle and reported that they were illegal as no threads on the studs came through the nut. she stated that the failure should be covered under warranty and the insurance company couldn't do anything. when the consumer learned of a technical service bulletin concerning a stud change from 12mm to 14mm two months after the consumer's vehicle was manufactured. the insurance company did pay for the work to repair the vehicle. *ph *jb |
