Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 96 plymouth voyager van with 80k miles. both strut inside engine compartment are exhibiting major metal fatigue. both strut towers are shearing away from main frame assembly. dealer states that this needs to be repaired or front of van will collapse. this started to occur several years ago but dealer always stated that this was not an issue. in researching the web, i have seen other complaints of metal fatigue on the chrysler strut towers. i can provide visual evidence if desired. would like to have the nhtsa consider this as a potential safety issue. please contact me and i can provide digital pictures of both strut towers shearing through main chassis frame. *nlm |
