| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was driving down the road going approx. 60 miles/hour and the tread of the dual inside driver's side tire on a 1999 ford e-450 motorhome(fourwinds) peeled off, and then the tire blewout. tire that blew out was a lt225/75r16 dot#vdhl1x0209 ,firestone steeltex. the vin on the motorhome is [xxx]. the tire was the original tire sold on the motorhome. there was approx. 12,700 miles on the tire. the approx. mileage on the motorhome at the time of the blowout was 12,700. i do still have the tire and the tread of the defected tire also, i have pictures of the tire and the damage that was done to the underside of the motorhome. i did contact the insurance company, allstate, and they are sending an adjuster to inspect the damage done by the tire blowout. state patrol was called for traffic movement and safety. the tire was properly inflated and was checked regularly. there was 80 pounds of pressure in the tire. the pressure was the amount that i was listed on the tires. *ak information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr |
