| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We have a 2000 olds intrigue. while it was still under warrenty we had the steering intermediate shaft replace and the steering tie rod replaced. the steering has always seemed to be a problem. 2000+ miles after the warrenty went out the power steering rack went out which will cost approximately $1200. there was a pop noise when i was backing up and from that point there was no power steering for left turns but for only right turns. we had the car towed to the dealer and was told it was a good thing i had not driven because the entire steering was about to go out on it which would have most likely lead to a wreak. this is the same problem that was occuring on the recalled 98 model. the dealer service manager refuses to discuss and will not give us the name and number of his manager. gm has said there was nothing they could do since it has only had problems with the steering. *ak |
