Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: My husband was driving down the street to school. he made it maybe 2-21/2 blocks down the road when he says he heard a little noise and the car stopped accelerating properly. other vehicles began blowing thier horn at him and he had to stop the car, while sitting in the car he saw flames start coming out from under the hood. the engine caught on fire, no one seems to know why. the fire got pretty out of control, and the fire department put it out. our car is destroyed. we have no idea why the engine caught on fire. it was suggested to us that there could have been a manufacturing problem, and maybe our car could have even been recalled. we are trying to find out every thing possible about what could have happened yesterday morning.
