Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Chevrolet s10 1995 pickup separation of spare tire from vehicle. while performing routine maintenance on vehicle it was discovered that the spare tire was missing from the vehicle. the end of the cable which supports the tire appeared to have broken and had a frayed appearance. the bad new is that i do not know when the actual loss occurred or what damage/accidents may have resulted from the loss of the tire. this is a bad design. the truck should have retention bars to support the tire. also, others may have experienced this problem but not yet have discovered it.
