Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I bought a 1999 plymouth grand voyager. i have noticed the shifter to put it in gear does not lock, meaning the brake does not have to be pressed before shifting into gear. we found out after our 4 year old accidentally bumped the shifter sending it into drive with our 2 year old in the back seat i was able to jump in and stop the van before it hit another car. i checked several other vehicles and found that the brake actually has to be pressed before you can move the shifter. is this a recall with my van? it doesn't seem normal. i need some advice. *la |
