Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 02 kawasaki zzr 1200 and during a self 7500 tune-up noticed pitting on my cam lobes. i then took the bike to a local dealership and had a mechanic take a look. he agreed with me that this is not normal wear and that he would contact kawasaki and see if they would replace the cams under warranty. i have an extended warranty that covers me until 2006. kawasaki has agreed to replace the cams under warranty. your probably wondering now then what is the problem. well the mechanic told me that kawasaki said they would make an exception and do it this one time. like they are doing me a favor or something. i am a member of a website that has thirty or so bikes exactly like mine. of those thirty, twelve have said they have cam issues also. i know the 30% with problems on my site may not be the national average but i'm sure it isn't to far off. i would just like to see kawasaki admit that they have a problem with that year and model number. *la |
