| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: When shifting gears vehicle's accelerated without warning. *ak consumer could be sitting still or moving slowly but when he releases the clutch, he feels he's traveling 90 mph. he will not let his wife or anyone else drive the vehicle because of this defect. took vehicle to ford dealer and they worked on it. he test drove the vehicle and nothing happened. he stated this has happened at least six times. he could drive it for hundreds of miles and nothing happens. all of a sudden, the motor is going 90 mph. he would play with the clutch and hold the brake for a mile or two and then it's o.k. there has not been any accidents or injuries. *ph |
