| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Request for reimbursement for replacement of gas tank since it is a product of a defect.*mr gas station attendant was fueling the vehicle when a large puddle of gas leaked form under the vehicle. vehicle was taken to the mechanic who stated it should be covered by ford. prior to this incident, the gas tank kept shutting off automatically and the attendant had to pump it slowly to keep it from shutting off while being filled. consumer was told by the dealership the vehicle would be looked over and it was dependent upon the mileage and condition of the vehicle. consumer contacted the mechanic and relayed the info. from the dealership. mechanic stated his computer showed a recall for the fuel tank and should be covered. consumer again contacted another ford dealership who stated there was no recall. mechanic did repair vehicle. *ph |
