Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The alarm assembly (gm part number 15042437) failed to work properly with the seatbelt restraint system. the alarm assembly is supposed to provide a brief audible tone, and the seatbelt indicator light on the instrument panel was supposed to remain lit, when the drivers seatbelt was unattached. the audible tone was no longer functioning, and the seatbelt light on the instrument panel would not remain lit. i replaced the alarm assembly, and now everything is working once again. the dealer informed me that this particular component was flagged in their system as being involved in a recall campaign. i think there is a need to see if other model years need to be included in this same recall campaign. the dealer was unable to provide me with any specific details. i'm concerned about this component failing since it directly impacts the warning system associated with the seatbelts.*ak
