| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We purchased a 52 ft enclosed car hauler from twin cities featherlite in elko, mn, which was manufactured out of j-n-l's cargo, po box 130, bristol, in 46507. it has been cracking around the welds at the gooseneck of the trailer. we have spoke with 2 separate weld technicians (neb, az) and both stated that this was a design flaw. the one from az had also stated that he would not perform the work necessary to fix this because the problem would continue to take place and he did not want to take over the liability for this problem. this had happened with the previous trailer we purchased from the same companies, however we traded the other one in to get out of the problem (owned 10 months when cracking took place) the new trailer has been in our possession barely a month and they claim this has never happened before, i'm not sure how i feel about thinking for the luck of the draw it's only happened to us twice. we use this trailer as specified we only haul 2 cars at a time and do not even utilize the excess space in which it supposed to be designed for. we have invested $32,000 into this trailer and should be able to use it. the company wants us to bring it to them in indiana we are in az at this time and do not want to chance a death hazard should it happened to break all the way. the weld specialists along with myself believe this is a safety hazard. *la |
