| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Ref: nhtsa recall no. 97v017000 some of these vehicles have a strained or separated windshield washer/wiper switch wire. this can cause the windshield washer/wiper to work intermittently and could ultimately result in inoperative wipers. this has occurred twice during operation of my vehicle while driving on interstate highways and needing the wipers during a sudden rain storm. five minutes later the wipers would be working again. i have contacted both the dealer i bought the new car from, and chevrolet (1-800-222-1020) and neither knew anything about this type of problem. *la |
