Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased a new 2000 plymouth voyager minivan in november of 1999. in january 2002, at 38,000 miles, the transmission failed, stranding me on the side of the road. a local chrysler dealer diagnosed the cause as a failed torque converter. the torque converter, as well as several other transmission components, were replaced. in january 2003, at 55,000 miles, a transmission fluid leak was noticed. the same dealer repaired transmission fluid lines and seals, and changed the transmission fluid and filter. in november 2003, at 75,000 miles, the transmission failed again, leaving my children and i stranded on the roadside at night. another chrysler dealer diagnosed the problem as a second failed torque converter. *nlm |
