Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I've recently noticed a rather serious safety problem on my gulfstream innsbruck 26fbd travel trailer. the floor joists are not properly aligned with the stamped bolt holes in the steel subframe. the assembler apparently didn't feel like drilling the holes in the proper location, so some bolts are 'toe-nailed' (actually 'toe-screwed') in. others were just left out. i noticed this when i realized that the floor had become extremely uneven, and was squeaking terribly. this could be remedied by re-drilling the subframe, but it appears the floor joists are damaged by improper bolt insertion. the subfloor has become unstable. |
