Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Chest/positioning clip on cosco eddie bauer alpha omega child safety seat broke. the "push" button that clasps/unclasps snapped off during normal clasping process. went to babies r us, where purchased, to get replacement clasp. while they had suitable product, they also recommended we contact cosco because they said a lot of customers have reported same problem. no problem with cosco sending replacement clip, although we did have to pay shipping becuase our seat was out of warranty. sounds like this is a larger problem than our own seat, and i think we shouldn't have to pay shipping. i found at least 6 similar reports on nhtsa website search, there are probably many more unreported. i think nhtsa should work with cosco to issue recall/replacement and reimburse any shipping costs consumers incurred. |
