| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I used an evenflo discovery (model 4791255 16apr02) car seat for less than six months when the plastic piece that holds the strap to the seat broke. it broke through normal use; there was no accident or excessive force that caused the malfunction. this allowed the strap to pull to its maximum length without any resistance. in an accident, a small child would easily slide through the loosened straps. i called evenflo on three different occassions and attempted to voice my concerns. the employees refused to allow me to discuss the matter with a superviser and instead only attempted to sell me a replacement part. despite my pleas of concern and my emphatic statement that even a replacement part wouldn't get me to put my child back in this defective seat, they never allowed me to file a complaint.*ak |
