Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: There has been a recall on my yamaha roadstar warrior since aug 22, 2003 for the transmission. i did not receive any information from yamaha until late january 2004 about this recall. in the recall notice it states that the vehicle should not be operated because the problem could result in inury or death. this vehicle is my main mode of transporation. i have contacted the dealer that sold me this vehicle (i purchased it new) and they have told me that as of the end of february 2004 that yamaha has not yet shipped any parts to fix this problem. they also told me that i am 17th on the list ot have my vehicle fixed and that it will take at least 2 months from the time they get the parts until they can actually do the work to fix the vehicle. i asked the dealership about a loaner vehicle until the fix can be completed. they stated that it would be up to yamaha corporate to supply any loaner vehicles. i have made several attempts to contact yamaha corporate by phone and i have always gotten a busy signal.*ak
