| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I bought a new honda passport 2000 in september, 2000. after three and a half years, the transmission started leaking and the car shook while automatically changing gear. i sent it to a honda dealer for repair, but it still leaked and shook after the repair. i then sent it to another transmission shop. the shop said that the transmission was made by gm, and this type of transmission had a long history of defectiveness. it needed to be overhauled. this happened right after the 3-year warranty just expired. i bought the honda because i didn't like other brand of engine and transmission, but honda put gmc transmission in their car, which turned out to be a defect. negotiation is in progress with honda manufacture but unlikely to result in compensation or recall. *ak |
