Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Purchased 2, goodyear eagle ls, p225/60r-16 tires to replace original goodyear gt's at 27,000 miles on a 2002 impala. after driving on the ls for about a month and extremely dissatisfied with the thumping and boom, boom, boom noises and feel of the ride...., i took them to the tire dealer who said he would put them on the machine that tests for defects. both tires failed the test. the dealer said it was very unusual to have both tires fail. they replaced them at no cost with identical tires. the replacements unfortunately acted the same way. i did not want to go through the testing again, so i just paid to have 2 new michelin hydroedge's installed. of course i could not add 2 new tires to the front of my vehicle with another brand of tire, so i had to purchase another 2 michelins at an additional cost of $251. with the new michelins installed, the ride and handling was beautiful. something is dreadfully wrong with the goodyear eagle ls's. *jb
