| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We notified the dealer of the paint cracking and failing after having the vehicle only a year and half. they first stated that the truck had obviously had some type of repair work done, but after researching it in the enternal data base found that was not the case, and it was in fact a paint failure. they have also stated that they will correct the effected areas. our problem is that the effected ares are half of the truck, and they are not willing to repaint the entire vehicle. we have a major purchase of a $30,000.00 truck, and now half of it is going to be be shade of black and the rest will be another. i can see them not repainting if it was something we had done to cause this and it being covered under warranty, but this is not the case. i have owned nothing but ford products since being able to purchase a car, and i am totally disheartened with their lack of caring. cars are no longer a small purchase... they are expensive and a huge investment. i don't believe that they should be able to get away with such things... this is a factory problem and they should be doing everything within their power to correct the vehicles to the cumstomers satisfaction. thank you for your time. brian and tammy reagan mansfield, texas 2002 f150 fx4 extended cab - black |
