Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Whenever i apply my brakes normally, the anti-lock brake system engages when the vehicle speed decreases to approximately 6 mph. this causes the brake pedel to lock and the vehicle continues forward until it rolls to a stop or it hits somthing. i have already hit several cars and rolled through many intersections. eventuly someone is going to get hurt. i have searched many websites and found this to be a very common problem caused by dirty wheel hub sensors due to a manufactures design flaw. the dealers often mis-diagnos or scam customers into new abs computers and other expensive solutions. the best solution is to pull the abs fuse for the abs control module but this makes the vehicle unable to pass state inspections. motor vehicles with this condition are a safety hazard and often unreported. prevention cannot be accomplished by normal owner maintainence and manufacturers should be held responsable. *ak |
