Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I currently own a 1993 chrsyler voyager with 94,000 miles on the odometer. the vehicle identification number is [xxx]. over the span of 7 years (from 1995-2002) there were almost 6 accidents during this period. the anti-lock brake system in this vehicle was inoperative. in these instants the abs light would suddenly come on and ultimately the brake would lock-up, and would not work. when pressing on the brake during these incidents it would not slow or stop the vehicle. *ak during this period, i have informed the chrysler dealership service department. since it was under warranty they have change the computer component and its parts several times. however, the abs is still not working properly. recently the abs light came on suddenly while i was driving and for about 15 seconds abs did not work when press upon it. then the light suddenly disappears and then the brake worked normally. i believe this abs system is defective and there should be a recall in the abs for this vehicle. this is a time bomb waiting to go off and i am afraid a terrible accident can happen in the near future. has there been a recall for the abs for this vehicle from this manufacturer? what options do i have now that the 10years/100,000 miles powertrain warranty had expired? what is the responsibility does the manufacturer/dealership have after having gone there several times to fix this problem without success? can you provide some suggestions for me to protect my family and do i have any recourse? updated 07/24/2012 *js information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)
