Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2001 toyota tundra is having major problems with the breaking system. there is a violent shaking when you apply the breaks from higher speed. i have had the rotors turned 4 times and nothing seems to fix the problems. toyota denies any safety problems with the breaks. the back brakes won't tightened up causing more pressure on the front brakes. toyota is fixing some of the brakes on trucks that are under warranty, but only when you complain enough. the trucks that are out of warranty are told it will take over $2000.00 to fix it. they keep saying that the problem is not a safety issue so they want issue a recall. my truck is not used for any thing but back and forth to work, so it is not under any excessive strain. *jb |
