Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Consumer was traveling 45 mph and vehicle stalled. consumer was unable to restart vehicle and had it towed to dealer. mechanic determined that the fuses and circuit breakers needed to be replaced due to melted wires. *ak the consumer stated that the bare wires melted insulation on the fuel pump in the gas tank. failure due to a bad connection causing heat. one wire melted into the adjacent wire causing the fuse to blow while emerged in fuel. *tc
