Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On numerous occasions when shifting the transmission from 2nd to 3rd it has defaulted to neutral (with a more noticeable clunk than the normal clunk noise) on several occasions it has slipped out of 1st gear on launch (in traffic with the vehicle behind me getting way too close to my rear fender before i could manage to get it back into gear and continue to accelerate) and on moderate to heavy acceleration on a 2-3 shift it has defaulted to 2nd gear causing a rapid deceleration that was very unnerving and could have caused a loss of control. these conditions all still exist, are all known conditions (by the manufacturer) as the "fix" is to up grade the transmission parts to a later design which i will do but feel this is a safety issue that should be recalled by the manufacturer at their expense.*jb |
