Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: We first saw a dealership regarding a clicking in the engine compartment on april 26, 2004, then again on july 16, 2004 at a different dealership. on the latter date, the battery was replaced and the oil changed. on 7/25, the engine. i was fortunate that i had just pulled into my driveway when this occurred. we replaced the engine early in 2005. when the tech broke down the old 2.7 liter engine, he wrote, "...rod bearings worn and rod tap noise the engine showed no signs of abuse or alteration...". the engine was replaced with a different engine. at this time, we are preparing to request compensation from daimler-chrysler. *jb
