Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I purchased my 2000 v92c used. it had 7500 miles on it. after putting on 2200 miles the transmission began to act up. it would kick down from third to second surprising the hell out of me! to keep this from occurring i typically attempted to keep my toes underneath the shifter thus, keeping the trans from kicking down to 2nd gear. on rare occasions the trans would kick down to 3rd from 4th. on only one occasion have i had the trans slip from 4th to 2nd. this happened in traffic and scared the lady behind me quite abit.i notified my dealer about it and he was surprised. the bike is going in for it's 10k check-up and i expect that the tranny will not get fixed without a few $$. it should be brought to the attention of the safety folks and the trans should be replaced or repaired at minimal cost to those that no longer have a warranty.*ak
