| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2001 extreme dual axle boat trailer with carlisle 205 75 r14 tires unk dot #. while driving approx 60 mph i had 2 rear tire tread completely seperate from the tire while heading to my destination. enroute back i was advised by a vehicle behind me that there was chunks of tread coming off the trailer tire. after pulling over to the side of the road i noticed that the left front tire tread was also peeling off. i contact carlisle tire and was advised that the tire was made by goodyear, but they no longer use them. they reimbursed me for the cost of the 3 tires even though they were out of warranty (2 years). i still have 2 of the oringinal tires, 1 on the trailer 1 as a spare. i contacted carlisle to see if they would replace the 2 tires, but was told they were out of warranty. these tires all have less then 3000 miles and have always been covered, out of the sun and properly inflated. i have a big issue with these tires due tohaving to worry towing my boat with my children in the car as well as spending over 3 hours waiting for tow to arrive in the desert like last year. appreciate a response rf |
