Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The emergency brake on my truck has gone out. i have only 36000 miles on the vehicle. i understand there is a corrective fix for this problem. dealers will install a low-force spring clip retainer for vehicles equipped with a pbr parking brake system. the dealer would only replace the retainer clip but states i would have to pay for the emergency brake shoes. i feel gm should pay for the brake shoes since the retaining clip 'caused the problem.
