| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We are affected by the recent recall concerning the wiring harness for the fuel sending unit and are waiting for the new harness parts to arrive. however, about the same time we began having trouble with that, we also began to have problems with a sticking accelerator. after starting and placing the vehicle in gear, the throttle sticks and is obviously a mechanical problem rather than a lubrication issue. once the vehicle begins to roll, the problem goes away. we ahev lived with this for some time and have recently driven two other gmc products (2001 gmc 1500 yukon xl and a 2001 chevy 1500 pickup), they too had the same problem. i am quite certain this is going to become a recall event due to the fact that with the sticking of the accelerator, the vehicle often lurches forward after enough pressure has been exerted. please let me know what the status of this problem is. thank you, don titus 817-705-1064 |
