Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Twice now the computer module has failed on my 2004 grand prix. the first time (when the car was less than a year old with around 15,000 miles) the fan to the air conditioner would not shut off when switch turned off. attempts were made to pull fuses connected to the system but the fan continued on even with the key out of the ignition. the battery had to be disconnected to prevent completely running the battery dead. the car was towed to the dealership and after them having the car for about a week they returned it to me. stating, "the computer module was bad and had malfunctioned. there was over a two week waiting period to get a new computer module from the factory, so we pulled one out of a car off of the lot." now, less than a year later (10 months later to be exact) the same exact thing has happened. the fan turned on this time by itself. again the only way to shut it off was to disconnect the battery. the car has about 30,000 miles on it now.
