| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: dt: the consumer owns a dodge intrepid. the vehicle had total engine failure with the only warnings being the oil light flickering on and off once or twice. the vehicle also stalled but was able to be restarted. the vehicle started making a knocking sound immediately before the engine failed. the contact pulled off highway and the vehicle had to be towed, a certified mechanic stated the engine needed to be replaced. also the vehicle was taken to a service dealer who also verified the engine needed to be replaced. the dealer referred to the problem as total engine failure. *nm |
