Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1997 chevrolet blazer engine revved to a very high rpm.*mr after the vehicle hit a pothole in the street the engine revved very high. it revved somewhere around 4500 rpm's. the consumer popped to hood to see if he could determine what caused the problem but couldn't find anything wrong. the next day the consumer inspected the vehicle and found that butterfly valve was open and showed where the wedge shaped piece was supposed to be riveted on. it appeared that the wedge piece broke away from the rivets and pivoted down into the throat of the injector body causing the computer to sense the need to floor the gas pedal. *nm |
