Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt: contact stated when putting on the brakes the pedal picked up the accelerator pedal, causing the car to accelerate unnecessarily. the brake pedal went down further when compressed than the gas pedal did when it compressed. the dealer was trying to correct the problem. the service manager was looking at the computer system in the car. the consumer talked to several other people that had this same problem. he has noticed this problem ever since september 2004. *ak the brake and accelerator pedal were designed too close together. *jb
