Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I was driving my 99 suburban on a snowy morning on a residential street in northern utah. i was slowly approaching a stop sign and there was a car in front of me already stopped. i was going about 5-7 miles per hour. i applied my brakes, the anti-lock brake system was immediately activated, and we began to slide toward the vehicle in front of me. we stopped within an inch of hitting the car in front of me. because the abs was undesirably activated without any notice, it almost caused a collision. our roads in northern utah are frequently salted every winter and i suspect rust was a cause. i intend to have it fixed at a local dealership. this should be a recall item in utah. my wife is the primary driver of this suburban and she said it has happened to her too. *nm
