Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Hi, it seems as if many 2000+ vw jettas have defective rear center seat belts. when you fold down the rear seats, the center seat belts will retract in such a way that it is impossible to move the seat back to the upright position without disconnecting the seat belt. many people, myself included, just permanently disconnect the center seat belt to avoid such problems. i have experienced several other recalls that seemed less dangerous than this problem could potentially be with 5 people in the car. could you investigate how frequent this safety issue occurs and possibly initiate a recall? i had this fixed once before, but apparently the fix didn't last. thanks, neil kumpers. *nm |
