Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2001 tahoe, purchased from ed bozarth chevrolet in grand junction, colorado. during late july or early august, i heard a tv news story saying that tahoes including my year and type had been recalled due to a corrosion problem affecting the anti- lock braking of the vehicle. at that time i called the dealership and was told that there was no recall he/they knew of and therefore no problem. on october 4, 2005, i pulled up your website and found a service bulletin advisory # 05068 regarding the above situation. i then clicked on the get summary button and saw that there was a recall on this situation. i called the dealership again and was again advised that there was no recall on my truck by the service manager. he also stated that they would find out right after a media announcement which is inconsistent with the first conversation i had with him (at that time he indicated that the media always"jumped the gun). so the question is, is there a recall or not and how do i get my truck fixed if necessary?*jb |
