| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the consumer complained about the abs brakes. the abs engaged at low speeds. when the vehicle was slowing down to 4 or 5 mph the brakes would not be present for four or five feet, then the brakes would grab. the abs had gotten worse in the past year. the vehicle had been to the dealership for repairs and they said that the abs module was burned out. the dealer wanted $1,000 to make the repairs. the consumer then took the vehicle to an independent repair shop and the abs brakes were disconnected. *ak (11/21/05) *sc |
