| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2001 gmc yukon. abs module failed causing pump to run continuously. rather than pay $1,000 for repair, opted to have fuse pulled (suggested by gmc service manager). abs light on dashboard stays lit constantly now. so does the brake light. parking/emergency brake has not worked for three years now. two weeks ago the traction assist off light came on and now it stays lit up too. from what i read in the owners manual, this problem may possibly be related to the abs. after much internet research, i have come to learn that problems referenced above are quite common with gmc vehicles. since the problems are related to the braking capability of the vehicle i believe there are some serious safety issues that need to be addressed. not to mention the fact that i will lose approximately $1500-$2000 value when i try to sell this vehicle. *nm |
