Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Driver's side sliding door will not work in cold weather. it is usually warm in southern la, but in the early mornings while taking my children to preschool, i could not get my son's sliding door to open. it always worked when i took it to the dealer, but several school employees and others have seen that the door does not work either with the electronic key, button on the door itself, or with the overhead button located above the dashboard. oddly, also only when the weather is cooler, my high beam on my driver's side headlight will not work. the headlights will both come on, but as soon as i depress the button for high beams, the driver's light goes off completely. is there a correlation since they are both on the driver's side? perhaps something electrical? we bought the vehicle used last september 2004 and almost immediately started having problems with the sliding door as soon as the weather was cooler. i am guessing at the october 20/04 date, but i know i started having problems in oct of last year shortly after we'd purchased the vehicle. i had problems virtually every early morning in the winter from oct-feb, and the same thing just started again as the mornings are once again cooler (cooler in baton rouge means around 45 f). the diagnostics they have run at my chrysler dealership keep coming up empty and they must think it's all in my head. at least 2 other mechanics from where i have my oil changed have witnessed the problems with the doors and lights firsthand, but never those at the dealership. is this happening to others with the same make and model? *jb
