Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2004 yamaha roadstar warrior "crank shaft position sensor failure" date of failure august, 30 2004 approx 3000 miles purchase date: june 2004 1.) i was traveling on my 2004 yamaha roadstar warrior at 65 mph in congested highway conditions at night prior/during the during the component (crank shaft position sensor) failure. 2.) due to the "crank shaft position sensor failure" the motorcycle's motor stopped running, i then pulled/activated the motorcycle's clutch to allow the vehicle to continued it's forward movement/momentum, allowing me to coast across three lanes of +65 mph highway traffic to reach the breakdown lane. 3.) the motorcycle had to be towed to the yamaha dealer to replace the crank shaft position sensor yamaha p/n 5px-81670-00-00 diagnostic code 12. *nm |
