Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: As i approached my driveway at c. 5 mph, my auto, a 2001 lincoln towncar, accelerated suddenly, and auto finally stopped c. halfway in my den. the auto insurance adjustor took photos, as did i. there were c. 35 feet of tire skid marks approaching my driveway and in my garage. i could not stop my car! fortunately, a neighbor assisted me from my vehicle but i had a sore knee so went to my doctor to arrange for an xray. there were no breaks but knee suffered trauma so am currently getting physical therapy to regain use of my right knee. while visiting with family in chicago c. a month ago, relayed the details of above incident and was surprised to hear that cousin's husband, with same year and model auto as mine, experienced the sudden acceleration three times with his vehicle. each incident occured while he was moving at a slow rate of speed as was the same mode my car was in at the time of my acceleration mishap. |
