| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While passing at highway speeds the transmission failed. i was forced to either take to the ditch, run the guy off that i was trying to pass or have a head on collision. i took to a ditch to save my family and others. i had the transmission serviced at the dealer on 12/9/2003 and no problems were found. the transmission failed with no warning on 1/5/2004. both a road side transmission shop and the dealer agreed that there is an ongoing problem with these transmissions. the problem is with the "sun shell" failing. there is currently a revised part in production for incorporation but no recall to cover the consumer.*ak |
